Cebu FC guns for its second win in the 2022 Philippines Football League (PFL) on Sept. 3 as it faces Azkals Development Team (ADT) at 4 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
Cebu FC is coming off a huge win last weekend after beating rival Stallion Laguna FC, 4-3.
ADT, led by Azkals’ star Stephan Schrock, had the weekend off after its match with defending PFL champion United City FC (UCFC) was cancelled.
ADT, however, is coming off a convincing 4-0 victory over Maharlika Manila FC in its last match, two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, league leader Kaya FC-Iloilo takes on Stallion FC also at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, while Mendiola FC 1991 is playing against Maharlika Manila FC at the Imus Grand Stand in Imus, Cavite.
Kaya FC is currently at the top of the table with 12 points, UCFC is second with six, Stallion FC is third with six points, Cebu FC is fourth with four points, ADT is fifth with three points. Mendiola FC is in sixth place with no points but is ahead of fellow winless Maharlika FC on goal difference.
A win by Cebu FC should improve its ranking to third place but that is if Stallion FC loses to unbeaten Kaya FC.
